Marching band is classified as a co-curricular subject and as such is not directly funded through the Gwinnett County Schools. Therefore, fundraising and marching fees become the financial support for the marching band. Current marching band fees are $550.00 for ALL NEW marching band members. Returning marchers have dues of $475.00 To facilitate its activities, the Booster Club also receives contributions from sponsors, conducts various fundraising activities throughout the year and operates the visitor’s side concession stand at all home varsity football games. All students are expected to pay dues in full by band camp each summer. Payment arrangements outside of this should be made with the Treasurer of the Booster Club. Students who do not pay may not be able to participate in various activities including Georgia Tech Band Day or the banquet. There will also be other expenses during the school year such as sectional t-shirts, concert attire, dues for SAPA or band trip fees. Being in marching band is a choice and by joining you are saying you will participate and pay all dues.
